So far so good! The most notable features are:
- OTP Authentication – Asks WordPress to give you a token, which it passes to UnrealIRCd, which UnrealIRCd verifies against your account and logs you in. All of this is automatic in the client, connection is automatic and you will just be in IRC logged in as yourself without having to re-type any password or anything.
- Channel and user themes – I think this gives things a much more personal touch. The photo you used in your website’s cover photo is the photo that will be used here. Of course, your avatar will display as expected too.
- Joining and parting channels, quitting and changing nicks work as should now.
There are many more functions that I have in mind to add in, but I won’t spoil the surprise in this post 😉
